The Floodlights are back!
Sandhurst Town Football Club are pleased to announce that their floodlights are now fully operational. Eight weeks ago a freak accident during routine maintenance resulted in one of the lighting pylons collapsing. Since then, the club have not been able to play any midweek home matches and Saturday games have had to kick off at 2.00 pm. Apart from causing playing disruption, the episode has also had financial consequences. With a resumption of midweek games, plus the restoration of the traditional 3.00 pm Saturday kick off, the Fizzers are hoping to attract more spectators to Bottom Meadow.
The club would like to express thanks to members of the local football community, who have all been very understanding during this difficult period.
